Gotcha Day. Fly home tomorrow.
Hey everyone, Barton here. Today was a pretty big day. We had our final adoption meeting this afternoon and after all the instructions about feeding schedules, nap times, medicine doses and baby carriers we were in a cab back to the hotel with our daughter. She’s so amazingly beautiful—it’s hard to believe we finally have her. She’s doing well considering all the changes she’s going through, but she’s definitely struggling. She goes back and forth from playing and being content to being scared and pitiful. We know it’s all part of the process, but tough to watch nonetheless. We’ve drawn a few laughs out of her, and we even showed her off to her brother and sisters back home through the wonders of internet video. It will be very, very good to have our family all together again. After an early AM shuttle ride to the airport in a few hours, we get on the long flight home. We could use prayers that Laynie does OK on the plane. Can't wait for you to meet her. She looks just like me :-)

Barton, it took the rest of us quite a while to get used to you too, but we all did - so I'm sure Laynie will do just fine...
